So here’s some data for you to chew on while chatting with family at the Thanksgiving Day feast…
58,000 is the official number of Americans killed on the battlefield in Vietnam.
We commemorate the tragic loss of 3,000 lives on 9-11-01.
Very few seem to care if they are even aware of the 60,000 people who were killed by Vioxx, according to Merck memos – AND – that’s just ONE DRUG!
$1 Billion, 60,000 deaths, no arrests made (aside from the cardiac arrests caused by the use of the drug).
Oh – you want to add one more piece of data to the bank of cordial cocktail party conversations, kind of an “FYI” of sorts.
By the time the drug was pulled from the drug cartel’s shelves – the street level dealers/pushers (of the MD persuasion) racked up $12.5 Billion in sales.
In total:
- $12.5 Billion in sales
- $ 6.0 Billion in fees, fines, litigation
- $ 6.5 Billion in PROFITS
- 60,000 deaths
“I’m sorry AMA, what is your question about the safety/efficacy of Chiropractic Care? I can’t hear you over the sobs of the families mourning those you’ve murdered. Perhaps your holier than thou judgment is best suited for those on YOUR side of the fence – we’re doing just fine over here. But hell, given your level of mass destruction – you can’t possibly lower the bar much further… OR can you?”
Stand up… Step up… Speak up!

The stats are staggering and this post put things in perspective, Chris. There’s just no other way to put it, but companies like this are evil. They profit on crimes against humanity. I wrote about this stuff (the business of disease) in chapter 2 of my book, Cracking the Cancer Code.
To a big pharma company, deaths and fines are the “cost of doing business.” They have a monopoly and unholy pact with the AMA. They function more like a cartel trying to squash others that get in the way of their business.
More people need to wake the f*%k-up! I like the blog post title and just re-tweeted.
Thanks for this post Chris. That is a crying shame. I don’t see how anyone can rationalize this tradgedy. I will hand those out in my office. If we don’t tell them who will? Right?
